Arlington Recreation Reserve

Arlington Recreation Reserve on Williams Parade is Dulwich Hill's synthetic soccer ground, with a historic grandstand and Arlington light rail stop right beside it. It is less a walk than a green link, so dogs stay on lead as you pass through.

Lead rules

Inner West Council keeps dogs off the field during organised games and training. Around the ground, keep the lead on and follow the signs.

Using the reserve

The reserve sits between J F Laxton Reserve and Johnson Park, so it works best as one stop on a longer loop. Shade trees line the paths linking the parks, though the pitch itself is open.

There are toilets on site and street parking nearby, which gets tight when fixtures are on.

Pair it with

Carry on to Johnson Park or along The GreenWay, then stop at Cafe The Beans Dulwich Hill.

When to go

Weekday mornings, before training and weekend games take over.
