What's there. The park is primarily open turf surrounded by trees, and is slated to feature separate sections for small and large dogs. A dog water station sits just outside the enclosure boundary, so plan for a short walk to refill bowls. A children's playground is located immediately adjacent to the off-leash area. Basic seating is available but limited. Importantly, the space is generally open and partially unfenced, so it is not suitable for dogs prone to wandering.

Getting there and nearby. Limited street parking is available on Hudson Street and can be busy on weekends. The nearest light rail stop is Lewisham West station, roughly a five to ten minute walk away. Petersham Station is the closest train option, a short walk or quick trip down Railway Parade. For a post-walk coffee or a meal with your dog by your side, Brothers Ben Cafe in Petersham and BarCycle Cafe in Summer Hill are both nearby options worth mapping out.

When to go. Mid-morning weekdays between 10am and 2pm are the quietest stretches, making them ideal for anxious dogs or steady training work. Weekends peak between 9am and 11am, and weekday afternoons get busy from 5pm to 6.30pm. Arrive early if you want space to yourself.
