The Urban Newtown

Exposed brick and loft-style rooms in a converted building on the Enmore Road strip, surrounded by the pubs, live music venues and cheap-eats that make Newtown what it is. Parking is limited undercover bays on site for an extra charge and should be requested ahead of arrival, because street parking around Newtown is tight. Ask reception before leaving your dog alone in the room for long stretches.

Getting there and parking

The hotel sits on Enmore Road minutes from Newtown Station, so you can arrive by train and skip the parking headache entirely. Drivers should request one of the limited on-site bays when booking.

Close by with the dogs

Enmore Fenced Dog Park is the quick off-lead option a couple of blocks away, and Wilsonson Heights Dog Park is another neighbourhood green nearby. For the proper run, Camperdown Memorial Rest Park allows off-lead play around the clock on weekdays, with weekend on-leash hours between 9am and 4pm under Inner West Council rules. The Golden Barley Hotel on Enmore Road covers the pub dinner, and Skinny Dippers Cafe is a local coffee stop.
