Drewvale Offleash Dog Park

Drewvale Offleash Dog Park is a small, fully fenced Brisbane City Council off-leash area on Dampier Crescent, serving southside locals as a straightforward neighbourhood spot for a run and a sniff. It is a compact yard rather than a big destination park, best thought of as the local daily option for dogs in Drewvale and the streets around Illaweena Street.

The dog setup

Standard Brisbane City Council off-leash conditions apply: dogs under effective voice or hand control, a lead carried at all times, waste picked up immediately, and any dog showing aggression leashed and removed straight away. Supervise children closely and keep declared dangerous dogs out of off-leash areas. Because the yard is small and fenced, entry and exit points matter; scope the gate before you walk in so nothing slips past an arriving dog.

Max: small fenced yards get congested fast at peak times. Mid-week mid-morning is when this one has the most room to move.

Getting there and parking

The park is on Dampier Crescent, with street parking making driving the practical option; the reserve sits close to the Mount Lindesay Highway corridor, so it is an easy stop between Calamvale and the Parkinson estates. Amenities at this site are basic: bring your own water and waste bags rather than relying on facilities, and check what is actually provided when you arrive.

Close by with the dogs

For bigger fenced sessions, Calamvale Off Leash Dog Park, Algester Off Leash Dog Park and Pallara Park Fenced Dog Park are all short drives. The Karawatha Forest Park trail is at Drewvale's doorstep for a bushwalk on lead. For a post-run coffee, Andonis Cafe and Bar in Stretton is the closest published option.
