The dog setup

Owners are expected to stay inside the enclosure with their dog under voice control, keep the entryway clear for arriving dogs, and remove any aggressive animal immediately. Under Logan City Council's off-leash rules, females in season are not allowed and declared dangerous or restricted dogs are barred from the space.

Bags and bins are usually stocked on site, but carry your own as backup, and pick up straight away.

Expect the heaviest traffic on weekday afternoons between 4 and 6pm and weekend mornings from 8 to 10am.

Getting there and parking

Free street parking runs along Bennett Drive directly outside the park. Loganlea is the nearest train station, with local bus routes also servicing the area, but driving is by far the easiest approach if you are coming from Browns Plains, Springwood or the wider Logan suburbs.

Worth knowing

The fenced dog zone sits inside the broader Regents Park parklands, so there are playgrounds, public toilets, electric barbecues, fitness equipment and picnic tables beyond the fence. Reports differ on whether the dog-side water tap is reliably working, so bring your own bottles and a bowl rather than betting on it. The playground area is on-leash territory, as always.

While you're out there
