Hillcrest Off leash dog park

Seaton Park's off-leash area sits on Seaton Street in Hillcrest, a fenced, tree-shaded space that locals treat as their neighbourhood run rather than a destination park. It is open 24 hours, which is the main reason it earns a visit: no gate hours to plan around, no council closures to check.

The rules. Dogs must stay under effective voice control at all times, even inside the fence. Leashes come off only once you are through the gate, not before, to avoid tangles at the entry. Female dogs in season are not permitted, and owners must pick up waste immediately.

What's there. Secure fencing rings the whole area, with established trees for shade and a few benches for owners who'd rather sit than pace. Wheelchair-accessible parking and entry are provided.

Getting there. The park is just off Browns Plains Road, with street parking available via Seaton Street. There's no rail line nearby, so this is really a car trip unless you're already local.
