Andonis Cafe & Bar in Stretton is a lively Greek-fusion brunch spot that has gone out of its way to court dog owners, right down to printing a dedicated doggy menu. It is one of the genuinely dog-friendly venues in Brisbane's south rather than merely tolerant of a lead under the table, and the doggy menu has been upgraded and expanded as the cafe's reputation has grown.

Indoors is for humans. Staff keep dogs on lead in the outdoor zone and the courtyard fills early on weekends. The doggy menu is the headline: Puppelato, a coconut-milk gelato packed with bacon bits, a Doggy Latte of frothed lactose-free milk finished with liver bits, a Little Paw Benedict, an Instaworthy Pupcake Stack, and a protein breakfast bowl for hungrier hounds. Confirm serving sizes with staff if your dog is small.

The human menu runs big, colourful Greek-inspired brunch plates with generous portions and the kind of presentation that keeps the tables full, from eggs benedict and mini smashed avo to acai bowls and burgers. It trades from 6am to 2pm daily and carries a busy, family-friendly buzz rather than a quiet corner-cafe feel, so a settled dog does better here than a nervous one.

The cafe sits at 516 Compton Road, Stretton, just off the M1, with an on-site car park plus street parking on nearby roads. Note that some older listings carry a Beenleigh Road address; the venue's own site gives Compton Road, so navigate there.

For an off-lead run before or after brunch, the Nathan Road Park Fenced Dog Park and Glenefer Street Park Fenced Dog Park are both close by in Runcorn, and the Karawatha Forest Park trails are a short drive west for an on-lead bushwalk.
