The dog setup

Inside the fence it is one big open enclosure rather than separate big-dog and small-dog sections, so it favours confident, sociable dogs. The ground is lush grass with mature shade trees, a famous digging hole, shaded seating and a small gazebo, plus two water stations, waste bag dispensers and bins. Public restrooms sit in the wider park. Standard council rules apply: stay inside the enclosure with your dog under close voice and sight control, leash up and step out if play turns aggressive, carry bags, and keep your dog on leash everywhere outside the double-gated area.

Getting there and parking

The dog park is on Beenleigh Road, Kuraby, with free parking right by the entrance. Kuraby Station is a 500 to 800 metre walk east, and the Beenleigh Road bus stop sits outside the park, so arriving without a car is realistic.
