Turnock Park is a quiet suburban park on Levington Road, Underwood, with a fenced off-leash area that mostly serves the surrounding streets. It is a local's park rather than a destination, but the fencing, grass surface and low-key crowd make it a reliable everyday run.

The rules. Off-leash only inside the fenced dog area; leash up everywhere else in the park, including around the children's playground. Standard Logan City Council conditions apply: dogs must be registered, under effective control at all times, and waste picked up. Dogs in season and declared dangerous dogs are not permitted in off-leash areas.

What's there. The fenced enclosure has basic agility equipment and park benches, with a playground alongside for kids. There is no confirmed water tap inside the dog area, so bring your own bottle and bowl. The park is generally reported as clean and well kept.

Getting there. Street parking on Levington Road and the surrounding residential streets is usually easy. Buses run along nearby Logan Road, but this is mostly a walk-or-drive local park.

Nearby with the dogs. Camelot Park Fenced Dog Park has separated large and small enclosures if you need a size split, and Coffee in the Woods on Kingston Road does a dog-friendly courtyard coffee afterwards.

After-work weekdays and weekend mornings bring the regulars; mid-week mornings are near-empty and suit anxious dogs. Good for a low-drama daily run close to home.
