Coffee in the Woods

Coffee in the Woods is a timber-workshop cafe at 138-142 Kingston Road, Underwood, on Logan's border with Brisbane's southside, and it answers the dog question on its own social feed without hedging: yes, dog friendly. The covered outdoor courtyard is the reason to come, a proper sit-down space backed by a cafe that roasts its own signature blends and sells the furniture you are sitting on.

The dog setup

Dogs join you in the covered courtyard, on leash beside the table. The roof makes it workable in rain or full summer sun, and water bowls are put out for visiting dogs. Puppuccinos are usually available if you ask. The cafe has flagged that some indoor space can take dogs on very hot days, but treat the courtyard as the reliable option and check with staff before heading inside.

The vibe

The room doubles as a handmade timber shop, with wooden furniture around you that is also for sale. Regulars come for the signature coffee blends, croffles, giant muffins and strawberry matcha, with jazz on the soundtrack. Weekday hours run 6:30am to 3pm, weekends from 7am to 2pm.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits on Kingston Road with on-site parking, an easy pull-in from the M1 or Logan Motorway. Weekend mid-mornings are the busy window, so a weekday visit buys you a quieter courtyard and more room around the table for the dog.
