Lacey Road Park Fenced Dog Park

Lacey Road Park Fenced Dog Park is a fully fenced off-leash area in Carseldine, split into separate zones for large and small dogs, so nervous or smaller dogs get their own space away from boisterous playmates.

The rules. The park is open 24 hours, but dogs still need to be under effective control even inside the fence line, and owners must clean up after them straight away. Entry is via a double-gated chute designed to stop dogs slipping out while you're getting the lead off.

What's there. Both zones are grassed, with a water station for thirsty dogs, benches for owners, and waste bags supplied at the gate. Shade is limited, so midday in summer is tough going, and the ground turns muddy for a day or two after rain.

Getting there. The park is on Lacey Road, Carseldine, with free street parking nearby. Carseldine train station is a short walk or quick drive away, and Brisbane City Council buses run along nearby Beams Road.

When to go. Weekday mornings, especially Wednesdays, are the quietest. Weekday afternoons and weekend mornings draw the biggest crowds, so go early if your dog prefers a calmer paddock.
