Daytime Hidden World Dog Off-Leash Area

Daytime Hidden World Dog Off-Leash Area is a fenced dog park inside the wider Bill Brown Sports Reserve at 426B Roghan Road, Fitzgibbon, on Brisbane's northside. True to its name it runs daylight hours only, 6am to 6pm every day, and gives dogs a secure, enclosed run with mature trees, agility gear and separate sections so different sizes can play safely.

The dog setup

The enclosure is chain-wire fenced with a double-gate airlock at entry, which makes a real difference for dogs who bolt the moment a gate opens. Separate spaces cater to smaller and larger dogs, and there is shelter and seating for the humans standing around in the sun. Water stations are provided inside. Outside the fence, the rest of the reserve is on-lead territory and normal Brisbane City Council rules apply: stay in the park and supervise, carry bags (bins are on site), and leash up immediately any dog getting assertive with the group.

The vibe

This is a family-heavy part of the world. The enclosure sits near the Hidden World Playground, so the fence line can carry a lot of kid noise, particularly on weekends and school holidays. If your dog is reactive to shrieking children, position yourselves on the far side of the run. Weekday mid-mornings and afternoons are the calm windows; Saturday and Sunday mornings fill up with local regulars. Mosquitoes come up after rain, so it is worth flushing one out of the car before you head home.

Getting there and parking

The park is an easy run off the Gateway Motorway with a designated car park on site. Paths through the reserve are paved and wheelchair accessible, and the Emily Seebohm Aquatic Centre next door marks the complex for anyone navigating by landmark. Carseldine is the closest train station, with bus stops along Roghan Road for the car-free.

Close by with the dogs

Beyond The Brew Fitzgibbon is up the same road with undercover outdoor seating that welcomes dogs, an easy reward after a good run.
