Bill Brown Sports Reserve Fenced Dog Park is a large, fully fenced off-leash area on Denham Street in Bracken Ridge, open 24 hours with plenty of open grass for a proper run.

The rules. Dogs can run off-leash inside the fenced area but must be leashed in the car park and on the surrounding sports fields. Clean up after your dog, bins are provided, and make sure the double gates are shut properly on the way in and out.

What's there. Picnic tables, waste bins, and free parking right next to the park, with wheelchair-accessible parking and entrance.

Getting there. Drive in via Denham Street, Bracken Ridge, where free parking sits right beside the dog area. Brisbane City Council bus routes serve the wider Bracken Ridge area if you're coming by public transport.

Watch-outs. The reserve is mostly open grass with limited natural shade, so bring your own shade cover and water on hot days.

Nearby with the dogs. Barrett Street Park, the other fenced dog park in Bracken Ridge, is close by, and Green Field Café on Barrett Street has outdoor seating for dogs if you want coffee after the walk.

Plenty of room here for a proper zoomie session, just time your visit for early morning or evening in summer since there's not much shade.
