Bunya Fenced Dog Park

Bunya Fenced Dog Park is a quiet, fully fenced off-leash park on Bunya Road, set among trees on the edge of Bunyaville Conservation Park in Brisbane's north. It is small and residential rather than a destination park, but the double-gated entry and good shade make it a solid pick for a safe, low-key off-leash run.

The dog setup

Keep your dog on-leash until you are through both gates of the double-gated entry, and make sure the inner and outer gates are shut behind you before unclipping. City of Moreton Bay rules apply: dogs stay within sight and under voice or hand control at all times, aggressive dogs are leashed and removed straight away, and waste is bagged and binned, with bins provided on site. The fenced area is grassy with shade trees, a dog water fountain, bench seating, and a dedicated car park right beside the fence.

Max: check both gates are latched before you unclip the lead. A double-gated entry only works if owners actually close the first gate behind them.

Worth knowing

Early mornings and late afternoons on weekends draw the most locals; weekdays are usually quiet enough for a relaxed, private play session. This is a low-traffic, safely fenced break rather than a big social scene, and the neighbouring Bunyaville Conservation Park is strictly on-leash or no-dog territory depending on the section, so treat the fenced yard as the off-leash part of the trip.

Getting there and parking

It is a car-only trip. There is on-site parking at the Bunya Road entrance, but public transport options are limited in this quiet, rural-residential pocket of Bunya, so budget for driving.
