Molten Toffee

Molten Toffee is a licensed suburban cafe on Dawn Road with a genuine reputation as one of Albany Creek's most dog-friendly coffee stops, helped by a covered outdoor deck and a reserve right next door. The staff are used to dogs arriving with the morning regulars, and the setup makes the walk-to-coffee circuit almost effortless.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome on the covered outdoor deck, which is roomy enough that a settled dog sits comfortably beside the table. Staff will generally bring water out, and the deck stays shaded through the Brisbane morning. Inside is for two-legged customers only. With Dawn Road Reserve beside the cafe, it is easy to burn off some energy first and then flop under a deck table.

The menu

It pours Fonzie Abbott coffee and runs a well-regarded breakfast and lunch kitchen: reviewers single out the smashed avocado, eggs benedict and the halloumi avo burger, with banana smoothies a house favourite. Open seven days, from 6:30am most mornings with a shorter 7am-to-noon run on Mondays, so confirm times before a Monday visit.

The address is 1/10 Dawn Road. There is a car park for the complex plus free street parking around it, in a quiet suburban pocket that keeps footpath traffic light for a dog on a lead.

Dawn Road Reserve next door handles the leashed walk, and for the fenced off-leash session the Albany Creek Dog Park on Leitchs Road South has double-gated entry and separate big and small dog zones.
