CAFÉ BACETTI & CATERING

Cafe Bacetti & Catering is a low-key local cafe at 6/133 Beauchamp Road, Matraville, in the business park strip near Port Botany. It is built around quick service rather than long brunch sits, which suits a dog owner passing through: order at the counter, grab one of the outdoor tables and be on your way.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, where regulars report staff are genuinely welcoming and will usually bring out a water bowl on request. Water availability is not guaranteed, so a travel bowl covers the busy breakfast window. Keep your dog close to your table, since the forecourt sits beside an active car park and through traffic.

The menu

The bacon and egg roll is the signature, alongside breakfast wraps, haloumi stacks, French toast and banana bread. Lunch covers sandwiches, wraps, burgers and hot plates like salt and pepper squid, plus barista coffee, smoothies and shakes. Hours are 5am to 3pm on weekdays, 6am to 1pm Saturday, closed Sunday, so it is one of the earliest coffee stops in the eastern suburbs.

Getting there and parking

Free street parking is usually available along Beauchamp Road and in visitor spaces around the complex, busier during the morning trades rush. It is a handy stop before or after a walk through Heffron Park or along the Botany foreshore.

Close by with the dogs

Sir Joseph Banks Park Fenced Dog Park is a short drive west toward Botany and gives a proper off-lead run before breakfast, and Firmstone Reserve Fenced Dog Park is another nearby fenced option. Fellow Beauchamp Road and Matraville stops Oba Cafe and Bohäus Cafe round out a local circuit.
