Purrfect Catch Cafe

Purrfect Catch Cafe is a cat-themed brunch cafe on the ground floor of Hope Island Central at Shop 26, 340 Hope Island Road, open seven days from 6:30am to 2pm. The cat branding is the joke and the dogs are the beneficiaries: the outdoor seating is genuinely dog-oriented, with free treats and puppuccinos on offer when your order comes in over $20.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the shaded outdoor seating area, where staff keep water bowls available and bring out complimentary puppuccinos and dog treats with bigger orders. Indoor seating stays people-only, so plan on an outside table. The precinct is flat and step-free, which makes settling a dog in easy, and the cafe opens early enough to beat both the Gold Coast heat and the mid-morning brunch queue.

Worth knowing

The kitchen runs Australian cafe classics with a light Asian fusion touch and cheekily named dishes; reviewers single out the latte art, the eggs benedict and the agedashi stack, alongside oat, almond and soy milk options for coffee. There is a kids menu and high chairs for families, and wheelchair-accessible entry, parking and seating. It is a breakfast-and-lunch venue only, so late afternoon visits are off the table.

Getting there and parking

Hope Island Central sits on Hope Island Road in the middle of the suburb, with free on-site parking in the complex plus street parking nearby. It is roughly ten minutes from Sanctuary Cove and an easy detour off Hope Island Road for anyone crossing between the M1 and the Coomera riverfront suburbs.

Close by with the dogs

Saltwater Fenced Dog Park is the local off-lead pick, with fenced running space, agility gear and a shallow lagoon for a swim, so a park session either side of brunch works well. For a second dog-friendly stop, Bistro 19 at Sanctuary Cove and Native Harvest Cafe both take dogs in the same suburb.
