Oxenford Park (not off-leash)

Oxenford Park is an on-leash neighbourhood park in Studio Village, built around a lake with a water-lily walking loop, a cricket field and a small enclosed playground. It is not an off-leash exercise area, so it suits a calm lakeside stroll rather than a free run.

Leash rules

Dogs must stay on a physical leash for the whole visit under City of Gold Coast rules, and they are not allowed inside the children's playground at any time.

There is no fenced dog enclosure here, so there is nowhere your dog can legally go off-lead within the park. Carry bags and use the bins provided.

What's there

A flat walking trail circles the lake, passing sheltered picnic tables, BBQ facilities and drinking fountains, with public toilets near the cricket field. A basketball court and a small skate feature sit alongside the open grass.

Max: Treat this one as the warm-up lap. Do the lake loop on-lead, then drive a few minutes to a fenced park if your dog needs to actually run.

Getting there

The park sits off Village Way in Studio Village, next to the community centre, and the community centre car park is the easiest place to leave the car. Bus stops on Renfrew Drive near Salton Way serve the area on Kinetic Gold Coast routes.

Close by with the dogs

For an off-leash run, the fenced Damian Leeding Memorial Park dog park and Binstead Way Fenced Dog Park are both a short drive away.

Coffee is covered too, with Spresso in the Studio Village shops and Boatshed Brew by Oxenford Lake both welcoming dogs in their outdoor seating.

Weekday mid-mornings are the quietest window, while early mornings and the late afternoon draw the local walking crowd. It is a good loop for on-lead training or an easy day out with a settled dog.
