Highland Reserve Park

Highland Reserve Park sits alongside Wimmera Crescent in the Highland Reserve estate, and its drawcard for dog owners is a fully fenced, gated off-leash area set among mature shade trees. It is one of the better-kept fenced parks in Upper Coomera, with a steady stream of friendly local dogs.

The rules. Dogs run off-leash inside the fenced enclosure but must be under effective voice control. Leash up before you enter and when you leave, and keep dogs out of the children's playground areas (and at least 10 metres clear of them). A person aged 17 or over must be in control of the dog, and you must pick up after your dog with the bins provided.

What's there. A secure double-gated fence, shaded benches, and large trees for relief from the sun. There are water taps on site, though owners have noted they can be limited, so it is worth bringing your own bowl. A BMX track and a children's playground sit nearby within the wider reserve.

Getting there. Access is directly off Wimmera Crescent, in the heart of the estate, with street parking along the crescent. Local bus routes service the area, but a car is the easier option.

Weekday mid-mornings are the calmest stretch, while weekday evenings and weekend mornings draw the biggest crowds. Good for sociable dogs that enjoy company.
