Getting there. Free street parking runs along Mount Barker Road but gets busy. There is a small on-site spot, and the Hahndorf side streets are often easier on weekends. It is walkable from anywhere on the main tourist strip.

Nearby with the dogs. The historic main street is an easy on-leash walk with water bowls outside many shops. The Hahndorf Academy grounds down the road give you a quieter green space.

Quieter on weekdays. Good for a sweet break while walking the town with the dog.
