Sidewood Estate Restaurant

Sidewood Estate is an Adelaide Hills cellar door and restaurant at 6 River Road, a few minutes from Hahndorf's main street, set in a transformed apple shed overlooking the vines. For dog owners the draw is the spacious outdoor verandah and lawn, where well-behaved dogs are welcome while you work through the cool-climate wines and wood-fired food.

Getting there. It sits just off the main Adelaide Hills road, minutes from the centre of Hahndorf. There is free, large on-site parking at the cellar door, so this is one of the easier venues to reach with a dog in the car.

Nearby with the dogs. Hahndorf's main street, a short drive away, has plenty of dog-friendly outdoor seating and shops. The quiet rural roads around the estate are pleasant for an on-leash walk before or after lunch.

Best on a fine day when you can use the deck and lawn. Good for groups who want room to spread out with a dog in tow.
