The draw is the coffee, freshly roasted behind the counter, with light bites alongside, and the reviews point at the vibe and the staff as much as the chocolate and drinks. Trade runs on weekdays only, from 8am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday, with Saturdays and Sundays closed, so plan the visit midweek rather than on a weekend coffee run.

The cafe sits in Building 2 at 1 Dairy Road, with extensive free parking across the Dairy Road precinct, including spots close to the door, so arriving by car with a dog is straightforward.

Make a day of it

The precinct itself is walkable and easy with a leashed dog, and ONA Coffee House Cafe in Fyshwick has outdoor tables that welcome dogs if you want a second stop, as does The Explo with its outdoor area. Cup and Coaster covers weekend mornings when the roastery is shut, and the Kingston View Drive Fenced Dog Park is close enough to run the dog first and coffee after.
