The Coffee Club - Rumba Caloundra

It is a fully licensed cafe and restaurant doing all-day breakfast, casual lunch and a long cake cabinet, with the Passage view doing most of the persuading. As part of a national chain the food is consistent rather than surprising, and it opens early at 6:30am, which suits a sunrise beach walk. The alfresco rows fill first on weekends, so come early if you want an outside table with space for the dog.

The address is 30 Esplanade, Bulcock Beach. Free street parking runs along the Esplanade but fills quickly on weekends; a larger public car park sits toward the end of the boardwalk near the Power Boat Club. The paved Bulcock Beach boardwalk makes it an easy walk from anywhere along the foreshore.

Close by with the dogs

The boardwalk is right out front for a lead walk along the water, and the path continues north toward Happy Valley. For a stretch of grass and a run around, Viridian Circuit Park at Golden Beach is a five to seven minute drive up the Pumicestone side, where the beach end also has off-leash hours.
