Viridian Circuit Park

Viridian Circuit Park in Golden Beach holds a fully fenced off-leash dog park on the western side of the reserve, with separate enclosures for small and large dogs. The wider park layers a BBQ area, picnic tables, an outdoor gym and a general play space around it, which makes it a rare thing: a dog park that also works for a mixed group where half the party is there for the gym equipment rather than the dogs.

The dog setup

Off-leash applies inside the fenced enclosures only. Dogs stay on lead across the rest of the park, on the way in and out, and around the playground, BBQ seating and sports areas where council rules keep dogs out. Sunshine Coast Council expects dogs to be registered and wearing their tag, owners to stay present, and dogs to respond to voice commands. Pick up after your dog, and regulated or aggressive dogs are not permitted inside. The enclosures carry a shelter, seating, natural shade and some agility equipment to play on.

Max: the small and large dog sides are properly separated here, which is why it beats most local parks if your dog is small, nervous, or simply tired of being flattened by enthusiastic retrievers.

The vibe

Early morning and late afternoon are the quiet windows for the dog park itself, while weekends bring families to the picnic tables and play area nearby. Open 24 hours, though the fenced area is best used in daylight. Because the split enclosures keep sizes apart, it stays workable even when busy.

Getting there and parking

The park sits in a residential pocket of Golden Beach with wheelchair-accessible parking nearby. There is no direct bus stop at the park, so check Translink for the closest Golden Beach route if you are not driving. The foreshore path along the Pumicestone Passage is a short ride away for an on-lead warm-up or cool-down walk.
