Sunseeker Village

Sunseeker Village sits at 96 Caloundra Road, Little Mountain, right on the Bruce Highway side of Caloundra with quick access to the coast. Before you plan anything around your dog, one warning: the pet policy at this address is genuinely conflicting across sources, and the newer evidence points against dogs. Read the conflict, then confirm with management directly before you book anything.

The conflicting pet policy

Camping directories such as Full Range Camping have historically listed pets as permitted for shorter tourist stays, typically on caravan and camping sites rather than in cabins or village homes. But current real estate and agent listings for the same address describe Sunseeker Village as an over-50s residential lifestyle community with a strict no-pets rule under park by-laws, actively managed on site. The no-pets restriction appears to apply most firmly to permanent residential sites and manufactured homes, which is what the village now mainly is. If dogs are accepted at all, it would be for caravan sites on approval from management, and you should get that approval in writing. Where dogs are permitted, leashing applies within the village, and bring your own bowls, food and bedding.

If you do get approval

The location works well for dog owners. Little Mountain Common Fenced Dog Park is minutes away with separate large and small dog enclosures and agility equipment, and Meridan Downs Off Leash Dog Park is the other council option nearby. One Table Cafe in Little Mountain is the local coffee stop. Caloundra's dog-friendly beaches are a short drive east, and under Sunshine Coast Council rules any off-lead time requires voice control, a carried leash and a current registration tag.
