Social 51

Social 51 is a newer, community-minded espresso bar at 51 Bulcock Street, right on Caloundra's main strip beside Henzells Agency. It is small and built for coffee rather than a full menu, and the street-side tables make it a natural pause point mid-walk with the dog through town.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the outdoor street-side seating along Bulcock Street, with the indoor area reserved for people and assistance animals under the usual Queensland food rules. The strip is well used to dogs, so a settled dog fits right in. The footpath run is limited, though, and there is no standing water bowl, so bring your own to be sure.

The coffee

The menu is deliberately tight: coffee and toasties, with beans from Sunshine Coast Coffee Distributors behind the machine. Reviewers rate the coffee and the friendly service, and the early numbers are strong for a venue still finding its feet. Think of it as a friendly main-street pit stop rather than a brunch destination.

Getting there and parking

Street parking runs along Bulcock Street but moves quickly, with public car parks a short walk away. It is an easy stroll from Bulcock Beach and the town centre, so most people arrive on foot with the dog rather than driving to the door.

While you're out there

Bulcock Beach is a short walk for an on-lead foreshore stroll, and the Caloundra coastal path runs on for a longer outing; check council signage for off-leash zones and hours before letting your dog run. It trades 7:30am to 1:30pm daily, so mornings are the whole show. Weekday mornings are the easiest window for one of the limited footpath tables with a dog.
