Ad Hoc by Cherubino is a relaxed cellar door for Larry Cherubino's more accessible wine range, on Jindong-Treeton Road, and leashed dogs are welcome on the outdoor lawn while you taste.

The dog setup. Dogs stay on lead in the outdoor areas, settling on the grass beside you for a tasting or a glass. The indoor cellar door and tasting room are not for dogs. Staff are friendly, but bring your own water bowl rather than counting on one being out.

Known for. The Cherubino range's quality-without-formality approach, plus an onsite shop selling regional and imported produce worth a browse after the tasting.

Getting there. It's at 2289 Jindong-Treeton Road, Metricup, with gravel parking on site. It sits conveniently between Cowaramup and the coastal wineries, and is car access only.

Nearby with the dogs. House of Cards Wine in Yallingup has dog-friendly outdoor space, and Wild Hop Brewing Company nearby has a large dog-friendly outdoor area too.

When to go. Weekday afternoons are quieter for a relaxed lawn tasting. Keep dogs leashed throughout, staff will ask if things get boisterous near the vines.
