Tarrawanna Oval, also called Harrigan Park, is the local soccer ground on Harrigan Street, and its grassy edge makes a flat neighbourhood loop. Wollongong City Council rules mean dogs stay on lead.
Lead rules
Keep dogs on lead around the park and at least 10 metres from children's play areas. Dogs must stay off the sportsground during games or where signs say so.
The walk
It is a short, grassy lap around the field with suburban views and trees along the edges for patchy shade. Bins are around the perimeter, but dog water is limited, so bring your own.
Street parking is easy on Harrigan Street and the blocks around it.
