Saltie Dog - Coffee & Crêpes

Saltie Dog is a weekend coffee and crepe van parked on Birch Crescent in East Corrimal, and dogs are part of the furniture here, right down to a dog-friendly Doglato on the menu. It runs Saturdays and Sundays from around 8am, drawing a steady stream of local dog walkers and cyclists through the morning.

The dog setup

This is a mobile van with minimal seating, so it is an outdoor, takeaway-first stop rather than a linger-over-lunch venue. Dogs are welcome in the street-side area while you wait for your order or take a crepe to go, and the regulars arrive with dogs on leads as a matter of course. Keep dogs leashed on the street, and bring your own water since the van's small footprint leaves little room for setup.

Worth knowing

The crepes come sweet or savoury, the coffee is solid, and the cabinet usually carries gluten-free cake and honey cake. Hours can shift, so a quick check of their socials before heading over is worth the thirty seconds. Mid-morning Saturdays get busy with the regulars; earlier is calmer.

Getting there and parking

The van sits at 29 Birch Crescent in a quiet residential pocket of East Corrimal, with on-street parking in the surrounding blocks, easy enough outside the peak weekend rush.

Pepsi: a short lead walk to Bellambi Beach makes a good loop before or after coffee, and the van opens early enough to earn it.

Make a morning of it

Bellambi Beach is close for a sand-and-water stretch, with the walk along the lagoon adding a quieter option. For a sit-down coffee nearby, Culture Cafe Corrimal and K by the Sea are both in reach.
