Argo Serviced Apartments is a modern apartment property at 65 Church Street in central Wollongong, well rated for comfort, service and some ocean-view units, and it runs dedicated Pooch Friendly apartments for dogs alongside the standard rooms. The location does the rest of the work: Wollongong Central and the beach are both an easy walk, so on-lead foreshore walking starts at the door.

The dog-friendly units are ground-floor apartments, one dog per room, with a 10 kg weight limit. You get practical in-room equipment: food and water bowls, a dog rest bed and an outdoor portable potty, so the packing list shrinks.

The fees are stated on the property's own page: a $50 cleaning surcharge per night on top of the room rate, plus a $120 deep clean at check-out. Pooch rooms cannot be booked online at all; reserve by phone or email direct. Inside the building, your dog must be on a leash or carried in public areas, is never to be left alone in the room or a car, and is not allowed inside any other apartment. You sign the full pet terms on check-in.

Off the lead nearby

Coniston Dog Beach is the nearest off-leash sand, a short drive south. The City of Wollongong marks it as a green zone beach where dogs can be off-leash at any time, though the lead goes back on for the paths, car parks and access ways on the way there. The main swimming beaches near the CBD stay off-limits to dogs, so the foreshore with you is a leash walk.
