Lee and Me is a busy brunch cafe in a renovated old building at 87 Crown Street, in the heart of Wollongong's main shopping strip. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, which makes it an easy coffee stop while you are walking the dog around the CBD.

The dog setup. Dogs join you in the footpath seating out front, not in the indoor dining room. The spot is good for people-watching on Crown Street, and the staff have a name for being friendly to visiting dogs. Bring your own water bowl to be safe, as one is not guaranteed.

Good to know. The kitchen is known for its brunch: French toast, chilli eggs and Turkish eggs come up most in reviews, and the coffee is well regarded. It gets busy, so expect a wait at peak weekend times.

Getting there. Lee and Me sits on Crown Street near the Crown Street Mall. Street parking nearby is paid and limited, but the CBD parking stations are close if the footpath spots are full.

Nearby with the dogs. Crown Street and the mall surrounds make for an easy post-coffee stroll, and the Wollongong foreshore paths are a short walk towards the water. Coniston Dog Beach, the nearest off-leash sand, is a short drive south.
