Bluestone Central Park

Bluestone Central Park, often just called Central Park, is a landscaped green space in the Bluestone estate off Equestrian Street in Tarneit. Sealed concrete paths wind through landscaped lawns, and dogs are welcome on a lead.

Lead rules

Wyndham City Council requires dogs on lead in all public reserves unless an area is signed as off-lead, and this park is not.

The walk

The concrete paths are smooth and built for prams and scooters, so this is an easy neighbourhood stroll rather than a long hike. A playground with a five-metre play tower and a scooter track are the park's centrepieces.

Watch for scooters and small kids on the paths, especially near the play areas.

Make a day of it

For a longer lap, the Tarneit Lakes Walking Trails loop around the water. For off-lead time, head to Camelot Park Dog Off Leash Area or Newhaven Fenced Dog Park.

When to go

Go early for a calmer lap, before the playground and scooter track fill up. Bring water for the dog, and keep it short on hot days.
