Croydon Hills Historic Walk

Maroondah City Council's Croydon Hills Historic Walk strings four reserves into one 3.1 kilometre route, past wetlands, bush and the last traces of the suburb's old orchards. It is an on-lead walk, with a signed off-lead reserve along the way.

The route

Start at Yarrunga Reserve and follow mostly gravel paths through Candlebark Walk Reserve, Settlers Orchard Reserve and Narr-Maen Reserve. The ground is a mix of parkland and suburban edges.

Leads and the off-lead area

Keep dogs on lead on the shared paths and within 15 metres of playgrounds, barbecues and sports facilities. At Narr-Maen Reserve dogs can run off lead, except on the shared paths, south of the wetlands and near the playground.

Good for a dog that likes variety, with bush, wetland and open reserve in one outing. Bring water.
