St Matthews Farm Reserve

St Matthews Farm Reserve on South Creek Road is Cromer's big sporting reserve, and its paths make an easy on-lead loop around the fields with the South Creek floodplain behind.

The walk

Paved and grass paths run beside the sports fields and recreation areas. Along the way you pass a street-style skate park and basketball courts, so expect some noise and movement.

Lead rules

Northern Beaches Council manages the reserve. Keep your dog on lead around the fields and courts, and follow any signs posted at the entrances.

Max: Skateboards and bouncing balls are a lot for a young dog. Keep a short lead near the skate park.

Make a day of it

Finish with a coffee at Coffee Lane or Four Brothers Espresso nearby.

Quieter times suit nervous dogs best. Bring water for the dog.
