Four Brothers Espresso

Four Brothers Espresso is a neighbourhood cafe at 2/63 Carawa Road in Cromer's small commercial pocket, part of a local outfit that also runs a cafe in Seaforth. It opens early, dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, and it has become a regular stop for Cromer locals on the morning loop.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating, on lead beside the table. It is a casual, kid and pet-friendly room, and the footpath-side tables make arriving with a dog straightforward. Water is not guaranteed, so bring your own bowl to be safe.

Pepsi: I would absolutely sit nicely out the front if a pancake stack were involved. Just saying.

The vibe

Relaxed and unfussy, with a menu that covers proper breakfasts and quick lunches: bacon and egg rolls, big breaky burgers, smashed avo, eggs on toast and jaffles, plus milkshakes, smoothies and the pancake stack regulars keep coming back for. Coffee is the anchor, and the staff get repeated mentions for being friendly and quick with a smile.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits on Carawa Road, with free street parking generally available along Carawa Road and the surrounding blocks. It opens 6am on weekdays and 7am on weekends, and closes early too, 2pm midweek and 1pm on weekends, so plan it as a morning stop rather than an afternoon one.

Close by with the dogs

For an off-leash run, the Dee Why dog park is a short drive south, and Griffith Park dog park in Collaroy is also within easy reach. The Bicentennial Coastal Walk over Long Reef Point turns coffee into a proper morning out. If you want a second stop in the same pocket, Coffee Lane is the other local option.
