Adam St Dog Park

Adam St Dog Park is the off-leash exercise area on Adam Street in North Curl Curl, the flat grassy reserve beside the North Curl Curl Community Centre and close to Curl Curl Lagoon. It is off-leash 24 hours a day under Northern Beaches Council rules, which makes it a reliable early-morning or late-evening run when the beach itself is off limits to dogs.

The dog setup

This is an open reserve rather than a fenced enclosure, so keep your dog in sight and under voice control, especially near the road. Dogs must be on-lead in the car park and on footpaths, and they are not allowed in the children's play areas, on sports fields in use, or on the sand at North Curl Curl Beach.

Northern Beaches Council caps it at four dogs per person, and cleaning up is mandatory, with bag dispensers and bins on site. The shared path along the northern edge carries pedestrians and cyclists, so keep an eye on dogs drifting toward it.

Max: treat this as the warm-up, not the whole outing. A lap of the reserve, then a leashed stroll down to the lagoon path, is the combination the locals actually do.

What you'll find

There is a water tap, a picnic table, toilets and waste bins, with flat grass that suits ball games and sprint work. Sports use the fields at times, so if training or a match is on, the off-leash space shrinks and you may need to work around it.

Getting there

The reserve sits on Adam Street in North Curl Curl, with parking at the community centre end. It is an easy walk from the Curl Curl village strip, and the lagoon corridor connects it to the rest of John Fisher Park on foot.

Close by with the dogs

Flora and Ritchie Roberts Reserve to the east is the other major off-leash space, with lagoon access for a cool-down. For coffee after the run, Curly's on the Corner is the local dog-friendly stop.
