Collie River Heritage Trail

The Collie River Heritage Trail runs along the Eaton Foreshore from the Old Coast Road Bridge to the Hands Avenue Lookout, with six cultural art signs along the river. Beside it, parts of the foreshore reserve are dog exercise areas with no time limits.

Leads and the off-lead area

The Shire of Dardanup requires dogs on a lead in the playground and barbecue areas along the foreshore. Sections of the Eaton Foreshore Reserve next to the trail are designated dog exercise areas, open at any hour.

Unclip only inside the signed exercise areas, and keep the lead on through the busier picnic spots.

The walk

The path is sealed and wheelchair friendly, with river views as you go.

Six interpretive art signs share stories of the Wardandi, Pindjarup and Wilman people, with QR codes to scan along the way. The Shire created the trail with local Aboriginal Elders.

Pair it with

Add a stop at Leicester Reserve, or finish with a meal at Eaton Tavern.

When to go

The smooth path suits older dogs, and the exercise areas give younger dogs room to run. Bring water for the dog.
