Eaton Tavern

Eaton Tavern is a family-friendly pub on Albatross Crescent in Eaton, just off the Forrest Highway, and a popular stop for people travelling to or from WA's south west with a dog in the car.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor terrace and seating area, on lead. Staff are known for being accommodating and will often bring out a water bowl on request, though it is worth asking rather than assuming. The tavern does not offer accommodation.

Good to know. The tavern runs a wide pub menu with arcade games and a family-friendly, retro feel indoors, none of which the dog will see since the dining room is off-limits. The drawcard for dog owners is really the location: a straightforward, well-signed stop close to the highway with an easy outdoor area.

Getting there. 1 Albatross Crescent, Eaton WA 6232, about 500 metres off the Forrest Highway. Free off-street parking is available on-site.

When to go. A solid highway stopover rather than a destination in its own right. Confirm the outdoor dog policy with staff on arrival, since seating layouts and rules can change. Good for a quick leg-stretch and a meal between the Eaton Foreshore and the road south.
