Lilac Hill Park

Right on the bank of the Swan River at 850 West Swan Road, Lilac Hill Park pairs wide river views with big shady trees and a historic cricket ground. It is a relaxed on-lead stroll in the Swan Valley.

Leads and the rules

The City of Swan manages the park. Locals report dogs running free on the open grass, but there is no council rule making it an off-lead area, so keep your dog on lead and check the signs at the gate.

The walk

Mixed concrete, paved and grass paths wind past the ovals and down to the river edge. Mature trees shade much of the way, and there are picnic areas, BBQs and toilets for a longer stop.

The park has taps and bins, but carry a bowl and bags anyway.

Max: The ovals host cricket and community events, so keep the lead short when a match or gathering is on.
