Burraneer Park

Burraneer Park on Dominic Street is a leafy bushland reserve whose walking trails lead down towards Burraneer Bay. Dogs are welcome, but only on lead.

Lead rules

Sutherland Shire Council requires dogs to be on a leash at all times in the park. They are not allowed inside the fenced playground.

The walk

Paved paths suitable for prams and wheelchairs wind through established trees, with some dirt sections, past birdlife and down towards views over the bay.

The canopy keeps most of the tracks and picnic areas shady, and there are public water bubblers in the park.

Getting started

Free street parking is usually easy on Dominic Street or Gannons Road. Bring bags, as owners are expected to clean up.

The shade makes it a good summer pick. It suits families who want a playground stop with the dog walk, as long as the dog waits outside the fence.
