LOAF Cronulla

LOAF is an artisan bakery and cafe at 25 Currambene Street, a few blocks back from Cronulla beach. The draw for dog owners is simple: a kitchen that is serious about sourdough and coffee, and footpath tables where dogs are genuinely welcome.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor seating only, which is standard under NSW food-premises rules; indoor seating is service dogs only. Staff are known to bring out a water bowl, but bring your own on a busy morning so you are not waiting. Hours run from 6am weekdays and 7am weekends through to 3pm.

Max: jaffle in one hand, lead in the other, esplanade five minutes away. This is what a beach-suburb bakery is for.

The vibe

The reputation rests on in-house sourdough, pastries and made-to-order sandwiches, with white, brown or gluten-free bread and wrap options. Coffee is strong and the jaffles are the cult item. It is a small boutique bakery, so the outdoor tables fill fast and turnover matters: think quick refuel rather than long sit.

Getting there and parking

Street parking runs along Currambene Street and the surrounding residential blocks, but it gets tight on weekends. Cronulla Station is an easy walk if you would rather skip the parking hunt, and the beachfront esplanade is only a few blocks east.

Close by with the dogs

Most visits pair the coffee with a coastal walk along the Cronulla esplanade. For proper off-lead time, the Kurnell Dog Beach and Greenhills Beach Dog Off Lead are a short drive around the bay, and the Apsley Place Fenced Dog Park covers the fenced option. Top Shop at Wanda is the other dog-friendly stop near the sand.
