Peace Park

Peace Park in Ashbury, just over the line from Belmore, pairs a short paved loop with a fenced off-lead dog area. An elevated lookout deck gives wide views over the rooftops to the southwest.

Leads and the off-lead area

Canterbury-Bankstown Council asks for dogs on a lead in the general park. Inside the fenced, double-gated dog area of about 3,700 square metres, they can run free.

The enclosure has a water tap with a dog bowl, bag dispensers, bins and shade from established trees. The ground can get worn and muddy after heavy rain.

The walk

The loop is on paved paths and passes the lookout, a children's playground, open grass and a basketball court. Toilets, seating and barbecues round out the park.

The car park is off Trevenar Street. It can fill during busy weekend and afternoon periods.

Weekday mornings are quieter for parking. The fenced area and its friendly regulars make it a good spot for social dogs.
