Peter Moore Field Fenced Dog Park

Peter Moore Field Fenced Dog Park is a small, fully fenced off-leash park on Tudor Street in Belmore, open around the clock. It is a neighbourhood park rather than a big run, so the draw is a secure, no-surprises space to let a dog off the lead close to home.

The dog setup

The park is fenced and gated, so dogs can be off-leash inside the perimeter once the gate is shut behind you; keep them on-lead until then. Stay in the enclosure with your dog and keep them in sight and under control. The setup includes a water station, bench seating, a few shade trees and basic agility-style obstacles, with waste bag dispensers and bins on site, though bring your own bags as a fallback. There are no public toilets at the park itself.

Max: it is a small fenced space shared with whoever else turns up, so it suits a dog that is happy meeting others rather than one that needs wide berth to settle.

The vibe

No-frills and local. Weekends and Monday sessions tend to draw the most dogs; Wednesday and Friday afternoons are usually quieter. If your dog is shy or easily overwhelmed, aim for an off-peak weekday visit rather than a weekend afternoon. The wider Peter Moore Field next door hosts the sporting grounds and a playground, with dogs prohibited within 10 metres of play equipment outside the fenced zone.

Getting there and parking

The park sits on Tudor Street beside the main Peter Moore Field playing grounds. Street parking on Tudor Street is free but limited and fills during sports training and weekend fixtures. Belmore train station is a short walk away if you are coming without a car.

More off-leash nearby

If the enclosure is crowded, Hughes Park in Earlwood is the fenced option a suburb west, and Craig Street Reserve covers Punchbowl. Campsie Off Leash Dog Area adds an unfenced alternative closer to the rail line. Afterwards, Frank & Chitch is the coffee stop in Earlwood.
