Frank & Chitch is Earlwood's dog-magnet corner cafe on Barnes Avenue, a sunny neighbourhood spot with a genuine soft spot for dogs, right down to a biscuit menu for them.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area at the front, roughly half a dozen tables in a bright, open spot. Keep dogs leashed and settled beside your table. Staff will bring out water on request, and the cafe runs its own "Furry Friends" menu with dog biscuits and treats, plus custom pupcakes for birthdays.

Good to know. The cafe is named after a regular's British bulldog, Frank, which tells you where the dog-friendliness comes from. Expect a busy, casual room known for its coffee, big breakfasts and a popular fried chicken burger, so mornings and weekends get lively.

Getting there. It's on the corner of Barnes Avenue in Earlwood, with free street parking generally easy to find in the surrounding residential streets.

When to go. Weekday mornings are calmer if you want a relaxed outdoor coffee with a dog underfoot. Follow up with a walk at nearby Earlwood Park or Bardwell Valley Parklands to round out the visit.
