CABN

CABN Seppeltsfield is a pair of off-grid, design-led cabins on Seppeltsfield Road in the Barossa, set so close to the historic Seppeltsfield estate you can walk to the cellar door. It is an adults-escape kind of stay: vineyard views, indoor fireplaces, outdoor baths and, in selected units, your dog along for the quiet.

Dogs at the CABN

Dogs are welcome only in the pet-friendly CABN X and CANVS units, so check the specific cabin listing before you book rather than assuming the whole property takes pets. CABN's pet terms cover a fee of around $40 per stay with a limit of two pets, confirmed at booking. Dogs can come inside but must stay off the bedding and furniture, so bring your own dog bed and bowls - none are supplied. The cabins are not fenced and the vineyard setting has wildlife, so dogs stay on a lead whenever they are outside with you.

The vibe

These are private, off-grid cabins built for couples rather than families. Depending on the unit you get, expect touches like an indoor fireplace, an outdoor bath, a sauna or a pizza oven, all framed by vineyard views. It suits owners of calm, well-mannered dogs who are happy to be under supervision outdoors, and less suited to a dog that needs a secure yard to roam. Check-in runs from 3pm with check-out at 10am, and free self-parking is on site.

Getting there and parking

The cabins sit at 675 Seppeltsfield Road, Seppeltsfield, within walking distance of the Seppeltsfield Winery cellar door and the JamFactory craft and design centre. A car is more or less essential for the wider Barossa - Tanunda and Angaston are both short drives away - but the immediate stroll past vines to the estate is the highlight with a dog on a lead.
