The catch is booking: dogs are only accepted through a dedicated pets-on-holiday option in designated apartments, arranged in advance rather than through a standard room booking.

The rules are clear once you are in: your dog must be toilet trained, cannot be left alone in the apartment, and you need to bring your own dog bedding.

Worth knowing

The apartments are self contained one and two bedroom setups with full kitchens, laundry and private balconies, which makes a multi night stay with a dog far easier than a standard hotel room. Water bowls down, washing done, balcony for the morning sniff. Dogs are expected on lead and well managed in the common areas of the complex, which is standard for a building with this many neighbours.

Getting there and parking

The hotel sits in the Docklands precinct in Melbourne's free tram zone, with the CBD an easy tram or walk and Southern Cross Station close by. Driving in, expect the building's undercover parking; confirm rates and access when you book since apartment hotels handle this differently from standard hotels.
