Chinderah Village Tourist Caravan Park

Chinderah Village Tourist Caravan Park sits on Chinderah Bay Drive beside the Tweed River, just off the Pacific Motorway between Tweed Heads and Kingscliff. It is a relaxed, family-run park with powered and unpowered sites, drive-through sites and ensuite sites, and it takes dogs by prior approval with a fenced off-lead run on site.

Unapproved pets are not allowed, and guests travelling with medium or larger breeds should call first to ask, as the published guidance centres on small dogs. Once approved, dogs have a dedicated fenced run where they can exercise off lead, which reviewers single out as a real feature of the park.

The vibe

A tidy, good-value river park with clean amenities blocks, ensuites on some sites, drive-through access for big rigs, and a long-term resident community that guests describe as friendly. It backs onto the Tweed River at Chinderah Bay, with the boat ramp and riverside parkland close by, and a fenced swimming pool for the humans.

Getting there and out with the dog

94-104 Chinderah Bay Drive is a couple of minutes off the Motorway's Chinderah exit, about ten minutes south of Tweed Heads and five from Kingscliff's beaches. For off-lead time beyond the park's own run, the Corowa Park Dog Exercise Area is the local council space nearby, and John Baker Reserve Fenced Dog Park at Banora Point is a short drive north.
