Dog Exercise Area - Corowa Park

The Dog Exercise Area at Corowa Park sits on Chinderah Bay Drive next to the Tweed River, a flat, open field that gives local and visiting dogs plenty of room to run before Tweed Shire's planned upgrade turns it into a fully fenced park.

The rules. This is a designated off-leash exercise area during daylight hours, but owners still need to keep dogs under voice control and carry bags to clean up after them. Tweed Shire has flagged a fencing and gate upgrade for the park; confirm current fencing status before letting a bolt-prone dog off lead.

What's there. Expect open grass, riverfront access, some shade, and bin access. Newer bench seating and a drinking fountain with a dog bowl have been part of the planned works, so check on-site signage for what has actually landed.

Getting there. Off Chinderah Bay Drive, close to the M1 Pacific Motorway exit for Chinderah. Street parking is available nearby, with formal off-street parking planned as part of the upgrade.

KK's Coffee Kart and Cubby Bakehouse are both a short walk away on Chinderah Bay Drive for a coffee afterwards, and Chinderah Village Tourist Caravan Park is close by if you are staying overnight.
