The ferry wharf is close, but do not plan on the ferry as your dog transport: Sydney Ferries only carry dogs inside an enclosed carrier, at the crew's discretion, and leashed walk-on dogs are not permitted, so budget for a car or rideshare if you are heading into the CBD.
