Zero Fox is a casual craft bar and Japanese-Korean kitchen set in the old London Woolstores building on Vernon Terrace, and it has built a reputation as one of Teneriffe's better dog-friendly options thanks to a shaded, tree-lined outdoor patio.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome on the covered outdoor patio but are not permitted inside the dining room, so plan on patio seating from the start. Dogs should stay on a leash, and water bowls are generally available on request. There is no pet fee for using the outdoor area, though it is worth confirming current policy at booking since these things can change.

Known for. The kitchen turns out Asian street food with a following, think Kung Pao chicken, kimchi fries, and pan-fried pork dumplings, backed by a solid line-up of Australian craft beer, wine, and spirits. The industrial-heritage setting adds to the atmosphere.

Getting there. Zero Fox is at 36 Vernon Terrace, Teneriffe. Street parking is available on Vernon Terrace and surrounding residential streets, though it gets tight in the evenings. It is an easy walk from the Teneriffe Ferry Terminal and bus stops on Commercial Road.

Nearby with the dogs. The Teneriffe river walk is directly across the road and makes a good pre- or post-dinner stretch. Teneriffe Park is close by for a quick break, and several cafes along Vernon Terrace and Commercial Road also offer dog-friendly outdoor seating.

Stick to the patio and keep the leash short near the walkway, it gets busy with foot traffic heading to and from the river in the evenings.
